Accessing UIF Systems
Access to Tracking & Engagement Database (TED) and UIF Online is provided to individuals who perform the following advancement roles.
The TED Access Request Form and UIF Access Request Form have been recently updated!
It is now provided in an easy to use interactive online format for users to complete and print for approvals. Please follow the instructions provided with the form and contact UIF Advancement Information Management and Support with questions or if you need assistance.

Supervisors: Fill out the UIF Systems Access Request Form for employees requiring access to TED, UIF Online, OnBase, or any other UI Foundation system.

What do I need to access the various technologies used by Illinois Advancement?
- View the Browser Compatibility documentation for details on browser compatibility for the following technologies used by Illinois Advancement:
- UIF Online
- TED
- OnBase
- Microsoft SQL Reporting
- Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free program that is required to view the many Adobe Acrobat (PDF) files available on UIF Online.
- NetID - A University NetID is required and NetID password is required for access to UIF Online. NetID's are managed by the campus computing office of each campus. Please see the website for your campus for assistance:
- VPN Connection - In order to access TED or OnBase on a PC, laptop, or mobile device used outside of the three University of Illinois campuses there must be a VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection setup on that PC or laptop to connect to the appropriate campus network. Please contact your tech support person in charge of your department if you have any questions regarding VPN connections. Below are links to each Campuses technical support webpages that provide information on how to create your VPN or Wireless connection. Please click on your appropriate campus link below:
