Accessing UIF Systems
Access to Tracking and Engagement Database (TED), Hyland OnBase, UIF Online, and UIF Support is provided to individuals who perform the following advancement functional roles.
The UIF System Access Request Form has been updated!
It is now provided using Hyland OnBase, an online program that will allow for electronic submission and approvals, and automated routing. No more printing and scanning!

Supervisors: Fill out the UIF Systems Access Request Form for employees requiring access to TED, UIF Online, OnBase, or any other UI Foundation system.

To be read by any individual (employee, volunteer) or vendor that will be viewing or working with alumni and/or donor confidential information.
To be read, signed, and submitted by any university employee that will be working with alumni and/or donor confidential information, or accessing systems that contain such information.
To be read, signed, and submitted to by any club/group that will be accessing confidential data, but not accessing systems. Users should have access without logging in.
To be read, signed, and submitted by any volunteer that will be accessing confidential data, but not accessing systems.
To be read, signed, and submitted by vendors that will be accessing confidential data, but not accessing systems.
What do I need to access the various technologies used by Illinois Advancement?
- View the Browser Compatibility documentation for details on browser compatibility for the following technologies used by Illinois Advancement:
- UIF Online
- TED
- OnBase
- Microsoft SQL Reporting
- Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free program that is required to view the many Adobe Acrobat (PDF) files available on UIF Online.
- NetID - A University NetID is required and NetID password is required for access to UIF Online. NetID's are managed by the campus computing office of each campus. Please see the website for your campus for assistance:
- VPN Connection - In order to access TED or OnBase on a PC, laptop, or mobile device used outside of the three University of Illinois campuses there must be a VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection setup on that PC or laptop to connect to the appropriate campus network. Please contact your tech support person in charge of your department if you have any questions regarding VPN connections.
