New FACTS Password Credentials Aug 4, 2008

As we mention in the release notes for the new FACTS CS software that we launched in May, we are changing our password credentials due to a University Audit request. The time has arrived and starting on Monday August 4, 2008 any new password created after this date will require the new password settings. Click HERE to read over our password guidelines document.

PLEASE NOTE: FACTS users will not be required to change their password on August 4 th. However, passwords will need to be changed voluntarily by August 31 st using the new credentials. At that time your password will become expired and a new password will be required at the next attempt to logon into FACTS.

If you would like to change your password to the new credentials anytime after August 4 th, simply log into FACTS CS, click Help from the menu bar and select Expire Password. This action will expire the user’s password and at the next logon into FACTS the user will be required to change their password. If you have any questions at anytime please call the User Services Helpdesk at (217)333-6902.

New Additional Email Text in Files and Reports SEND Function July 25, 2008

The SEND function located on Files and Reports, which allows users a way to send reports/files to other users, now will allow users to add their own personal text to the email. Ability to Add Life Partner Relationships Now in FACTS June 2, 2008

FACTS now has the ablity to identify both Spousal and Life Partner relationships between members of our constituencies. Heretofore, if we had knowledge that an alum/donor had a Life Partner, whether of the same or opposite gender, we did not have a way to capture that information previously in FACTS. Some obvious preparations for this rollout are already visible in the latest version of FACTS CS, which was released on May 19th, but as of June 2, 2008, all features of the Life Partner initiative are live and ready for our use.

Click here for a list of Frequently Asked Questions which outlines new conditions under which both Spousal and Life Partner relationships should or may be established in FACTS, as well as other very important details. Please read this document carefully, and refer to it often. To request records to be linked as life partners use the new FACTS Record Request area under the Edit menu in FACTS CS.

New version of MochaSoft 9.3 Available May 30, 2008

A new version of MochaSoft now can be downloaded from our MochaSoft software page, click here to install. It is recommended that all SelectPlus users install the new version of MochaSoft due to enhancements that will be done over summer 2008.

New FACTS C/S 6.00.12 Release Available May 19, 2008

A new release of FACTS C/S is now available! You’ll notice new Email and Phone searching capabilities. To read about all the new enhancements please click here. If you are ready to jump in and begin to use the new release, click on this link to get started!!

New Enhancements for Files and Reports formely known as FACTS Reports May 19, 2008

FACTS Reports located in UIF Online has now been changed to Files and Reports. Files and Reports has also been enhanced to now allow users to send reports to other FACTS Users and also upload files and reports from their local drives. For any questions regarding these changes please call UIF User Services at (217)333-6902.

NCOA Update Mar 26, 2008

On March 26th, the Alumni Association added NCOA updates into FACTS. The records with address changes also were given a PSA code of AFT06. Questions concerning this data should be directed to the Alumni Association.

Cognos Connection Gets a New Look Mar 19, 2008

On March 19th, 2008 the Cognos Connection area in UIF Online received a new look. This new look is one we hope all will find easier to use. The most noticeable changes are to the main page, which will now default to the new Reports tab. You will also see a daily notification of when the data was last refreshed. For those users who run Pipeline reports, your reports will now be centrally located in a single report application. Similar to the New Business and Campaign Reports you will be able to select a report from a drop down menu. UIUC October 2008 Grad Transfer Feb 11, 2008

On Feb 5th the Alumni Association loaded 390 degrees from the UIUC campus into FACTS. Questions concerning this data should be directed to the Alumni Association.

UIC December 2008 Grad Transfer Feb 5, 2008

On Feb 5th the Alumni Association loaded 1,505 degrees from the UIC campus into FACTS. Questions concerning this data should be directed to the Alumni Association.

FACTS Reports Retention Period Now 45 Days Jan 14, 2008

The retention period for reports to stay out on FACTS Reports has been changed from 30 days to 45 days. Please remember that this retention period will only affect those reports that have not been previously removed by the user. If there are any questions regarding this change please call the UIF User Services at (217)333-6902.

Emails Uploaded into FACTS Jan 8, 2008

The University of Illinois Alumni Associaiton have loaded over 12,000 new email addresses into FACTS that was gathered by the vendor Total Data Technologies. Questions concerning this data should be directed to the Alumni Association.

Bluestem Gets a New Look Jan 7, 2008

Those using Bluestem to log into UIF Online may see a new look starting on January 9th, 2008. This will not affect anything with your UIF Online account, but you will see a different login screen. Please click here for more information provided by CITES.

New Business Reports One Click Away Dec 6 , 2007

The New Business Reports located in the Cognos Connection area of UIF Online have been placed all in one link. Now you can select which New Business report you want to run in just one click. Please read the New Business Manual to see all the new capabilities.
